CONTINENTAL INDUSTRIE centrifugal blowers and exhausters are rotating machines used to increase the pressure of a gas, ambient air or gas mixture, by means of the centrifugal force transmitted by an electric motor.
The performances are linked to the following characteristics: flow, differential pressure and power consumption. One of the main advantage is the lack of internal friction between the rotor and the body, as the shaft has only two contact points; the bearings. For this reason the expected lifetime of the machine can reach 40 years.
All our equipment is submitted to a standard 8 hours rotational mechanical test in order to detect any housing heating, vibration or anomaly before shipment.
Upon request our engineers can produce all additional test certificates:
- Vibration test report
- Certificate of material compliance
- Dynamic balancing report
- Hydraulic test report
- Coupling alignment report
- Impeller penetration dye test report
- Inert gas injection to sealing assembly at inlet bearing housings.
- Stainless steel shaft (230 CI 3.55), keys, spacers etc … for corrosive gases.
- Corrosive resistance coating of housing interior (heads and sections) and impeller surfaces when handling acid or alkaline contaminated gases.
- Incorporation of mechanical seals in lieu of carbon or graphit seals.
- Purging system for accumulated water condensation when handling gases with high concentration of water vapor.
- Special heat shield to reflect heat when handling high temperature gases.
- Special heat resistant aluminium base paint.
- Sliding base to compensate for horizontal growth of the large machines when handling high temperature gases.
- Heat treatment of impellers for high temperature gases.
- Usage of special oil or grease when required for particular gases.
- Provision of noise abating enclosure for blower and its motor.
- Availability of inlet and outlet positions in vertical (standard) and horizontal (left or right).
- Availability of various tests : hydrostatic, high speed spin + dye, noise and ASME.
- Fabricated carbon or stainless steel impellers in lieu of aluminium ones.
- Special stainless steel forms for drain arrangement in case of liquids inside the blower.
